I was born in Fort Worth, Texas and raised in Odessa, Texas where I graduated from Permian High School. I completed my undergraduate studies at the University of Texas at San Antonio (“UTSA”) where I earned a Bachelor’s of Art Degree.

After UTSA, I worked for four years as a felony probation officer in Bexar County, Texas and as a licensed auto adjuster for USAA Insurance for about a year.

I finally decided to pursue my life-long dream of becoming an attorney and attended St. Mary’s School of Law where I earned a Juris Doctorate Degree in 2003.

While at St. Mary’s School of Law, I served as a Senior Associate Editor and was elected as Outstanding Associate Editor of St. Mary’s Law Journal in 2003. I also clerked for Chief Justice Alma Lopez at the Fourth Court of Appeals and for the United States District Court-Western Division of Texas.

I started my legal career as an associate attorney for Walker & Twenhafel, L.L.P., where I focused on commercial litigation and bankruptcy. Thereafter, I worked at a personal injury law firm for two years until I started my own law practice in McAllen, Texas.

I am currently a member of the Texas State Bar, the Hidalgo County Bar Association and the Women’s Bar Section of Hidalgo County, Texas.

I am licensed by the Texas Supreme Court to practice in all state courts in Texas. I have also been admitted to practice in the United States District Court of the Southern District of Texas and the United States Court of Appeal for the Fifth Circuit.

My public service includes volunteering for programs such as the A Su Lado Call a Lawyer Phone Bank on a local television station and the Community Justice Program of Hidalgo County, which allows me to assist low-income clients with their divorces on a pro-bono basis.

I am fluent in Spanish.

Although I primarily practice personal injury and commercial litigation, my diverse background and experience allows me to help clients with other matters such as divorces, criminal cases and real estate matters. Please call me if I can be of assistance to you. When you call my law firm, you will be able to speak with me directly.
